Sparrows in Tunisia
You may think what a boring bird to photograph whilst in Tunisia but I haven't seen a sparrow in my garden for almost year - dunnocks, wrens, robins and the usual English birds - but no sparrows. I read the statistics that their population has decreased in the UK due to various factors. It was such a blessing to see these little birds everywhere in Tunisia - singing their hearts out morning and night. The one in my hand had flown into one of the restaurant windows - it fully recovered. I had forgotten how small and dainty little sparrows are and, of all the wildlife I saw in Tunisia, for me this was the most rewarding.
