My favourite chair

This is my favourite chair. It sometimes almost eats me. I spent the whole day sitting in the sun which was the purrfect thing to do. Douis chased me because she brought in a frog and she wouldn't let me see it but I forgive her. Got lots of mew-mails from some Dutchland people about football. Some were a bit rude but I forgive them too. We Siamese live for the moment and we don't hold grudges and if there was more forgiveness in the world then maybe people would not feel so hurt and betrayed.

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” Mahatma Gandhi.

Football

I don't know what came over me but thatman was watching a game called football when men run around and try not to trip up and then kick the ball into a large stringy thing. Then there is another man blowing a whistle and giving people cards when they are very good and sometimes he sends them off for a rest when they look a bit tired. Here in the photo is Del Piero (forward for Italy).
Mymum said even the man with the whistle can sometimes be naughty. In the papers it says: Ruud van Nistelrooy, looking clearly offside, opened the scoring after 26 minutes. Ruud van Nistelrooy opened the scoring, albeit from a position so offside he was almost in Austria. A Euro 2008 controversy broke out on Monday over Ruud van Nistelrooy's first goal for Netherlands against Italy with referees and players arguing about an interpretation of the offside law. I think the Dutchlandmen men should have one point taken away they would still have two points. The Italymen wear clothes the same colour as my eyes so they should get one point. I hope the man with the whistle in the next Dutchland game is not cat-napping again and watches the game.

If in doubt ...play, wash & pack

The sunshine is out again today and I am feeling particularly good. So I decided to go on a short break ... but I can't seem to get everything in my suitcase ... instead I had a quick wash and decided to enjoy the sunshine here.

Twizzle

This is me with my best friend Twizzle. She is very old (26 this year) and cannot see and is also a bit deaf. I let her sleep in the special bed purchased for me. When it is meal-time I take her to the kitchen and show her where the food is. She is very kind to me and very warm so nice to snuggle up with. She tells me lots of wise things such as ' don't eat your own poops, don't play with polystyrene, don't lick the George Foreman grill just after it has been used, do howl pathetically for no reason at all, do find the best spot in the sunshine and do refuse to eat unless you get something different everyday'. She also told me about some famous Siamese cats:
  • Jason, Seal-point on BBC TV's Blue Peter; Lalage, owned by the writer Anthony Burgess; Marcus owned by James Dean; Nemo the travelling companion of British Prime Minister Harold Wilson. Then there have been Siamese in poetry, books and films: Gilbert (Growltiger's enemy) in Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T S Eliot, Si and Am from Lady & The Tramp, Tao from The Incredible Journey

Oops poops!

Hello Sarah, My eyes don't really look like that it's just that mymum tried to do the red eye correction and gave me very strange eyes indeed. I was a bit naughty today - I thought I would try and see if I could make mymum cross - so whilst she was on the computer I went behind a box and did a lovely artistic pile of poop. It took about 3 seconds and the aroma filled the room (to me wonderful but to humans not so wonderful). Mymum said 'what is that smell' (it was a mixture of sardines, goat's milk and some kitten crunchies). Strangely enough she didn't get cross at all and just cleaned it with some dizzifectant. So I know now tht mymum really loves me. She then got out a map of Ottawa (where she is from) and I helped her find where she used to live.
I dont know who this cat is. I always thought it was a cushion until it moved. It's name is Doo-ee and it is a refugee. I have heard a rumour that another
Siamese might be coming to live here because mymum has always had two Siamese. It would be nice to have someone of my own breeding here.
Thatman is watching football now. He is going to support Dutchland - they are funny people who wear wooden shoes when playing football and have a big round cheese instead of a ball.
When mymum and thatman speak Dutchspeak it sounds like they are trying to cough up a hairball.
Lots of humans come to the house and I sit on their laps whether they like it or not. I am waiting to meet Julia and Andy because they had Siamese cats so they must be very special.

Sunshine!

A warm feeling came through the window and mymum says it is sunshine. It is the first time I have felt it and it was really nice. It always rains here but I've heard it rains even more in Whales. The man in the photo is called Mike - he didn't like it when I chewed his finger and we had to call the paramedics to put in stitches and give him a blood transfusion. He does something with books. The woman is his Queen called Helen - she is a painter. I heard mymum talking about a painter earlier who is coming to the paint the house - I wonder if it is her.

Back ache

Mymum gets bad backache so I have found a purrfect solution for her. When she is sitting at the computer and snuggle up behind her back and go to sleep. She loves it and says I am better than her physiotherapist. The men have finished working today so it is nice and quiet again and I can catch up on my beauty sleep.
