Chistmas cheer

Christmas in Cley. Wonderful food. Grania forced me to prep the vegetables under threat of having to wash up instead. We played Monopoly until Hubbie had the brilliant idea of filling a 2 litre bottle with water and chucking it over Grania's coffin table (which is where coffins were placed during wakes), then we played Black Jack, Jenga and with each other (yes we saw you canoodling in the corner!). I found all of Rosa's music and general punch ups with Jim. Cozy the three-legged cat, Charlie the Cat, Treacle the dog and Lucy the dog all noshed, slept and farted through the proceedings. There was talk of Druids, paganism, politics, history, Canada, New Year, new computers, laptops and absent friends.
When we left the temp had dropped to below freezing and the ground was covered in diamonds, the sky navy blue and the moon haloed in yellow and gold.
